The Master program learning goals allow the creation of professional profiles able to hold both intermediate and top-level positions in international, innovative and sustainable companies, and in various business functions, such as marketing, HRM, quality management and sustainability development. Such positions might refer either to single firms and to business networks, business groups, as well as to business consulting firms.
The Master program aims to provide students skills to understand and interpret from a managerial perspective those phenomena concerning internalization patterns as well as business technological innovation inside firms.
Such orientation drives the provision of various courses encompassing heterogeneous subjects: from negotiation in cross cultural business to international marketing and management; from quality management to business process reengineering; from innovation management to laboratories of business strategies and politics. Cross-capabilities will be provided as well, with specific courses covering international legislation and performance measurement techniques.
The Master program extensively employs participatory learning processes such as: discussion of case studies; development of case histories; project works; company visits; learning laboratories and internships.
By the end of the Master Program, students will have gained both specific and soft skills, ranging from the diverse contents of the courses, to linguistic skills enhanced by a learning experience entirely taught in English, to on-field skills, making students highly competitive profiles in the contemporary job market.

The master’s program is characterized by a general-purpose and international flavor, and covers such fields as economic theory and policy, business and management economics, fundamentals of European law and public economics, applied economics and econometrics. The analysis of real-world problems is particularly stressed. The program trains students in theoretical and applied economics through course work, participation in seminars, and supervised research within a supportive environment. Activities are structured to stimulate the active and ongoing participation of the students, also through direct and personalized relationship with the teaching body. MAGEC is devoted not only to students holding a bachelor’s degree in Economics. It is also a good match for students with background in political sciences, engineering, mathematics and statistics, willing to understand economic issues more in depth. MAGEC graduates master the main theoretical and analytical tools of modern economics, and are able to critically interpret economic facts and independently work with real data. Their skill profile is especially suited for a managerial or research-oriented role in public or private organizations.

The course offers an advanced preparation in the science of language, in both its general and applied domains.
Entirely taught in English and in the respective languages of the language-specific linguistics modules (French, Spanish, German, Russian and Italian), the course represents an authentically international path, with a focus on the European dimension. The training offer is enriched by the presence of foreign guest teachers invited to hold modules as part of an interdepartmental training offer which is strongly oriented to an interdisciplinary approach. Graduates will hold a wide range of useful knowledge for the continuation of their studies in the field of research doctorates and second level masters, and will have the language teaching skills to compete in the selection for access to the qualifying course for teaching Italian as a second language (Competition Class A23).
The course aims to train graduates with a high level of knowledge of the theories, methodologies and techniques of language investigation and who are able to apply them in various areas of work for research, teaching and counseling in the analysis of written and/or spoken materials. Career opportunities for graduates in linguistics, also projected in international dimension, concern linguistic counselling in several areas, from the drafting and editing of texts to international cooperation activities, to the policies of linguistic integration for immigrants, to the management of plurilingualism and finally to the design and evaluation of IT tools for the treatment of linguistic corpora and of verbal communication.

Modern Industry and Research are requiring ever greater Mathematical skills. This Master’s Degree, as is the case for all the best programmes, is entirely in English. Many classes will be given by external professors coming from our partner institutions, among the best ranked in Europe. There are two options: the first is to follow the programme in Applications, which is designed to prepare the student for a professional career, based on a providing a strong background in Modelling and Numerical Methods in the fields of Industrial Mathematics, Applied Sciences, Data Science, Decision Science, Financial Mathematics and Cryptography. Alternatively one may follow the Teacher Preparation Programme. Individual programmes may be personalized by taking courses at the University of Trento, with which we have a convention, or by taking part in the international exchange programs Erasmus+, Worldwide Study and Erasmus+ for Traineeship. Our Master’s Degree is a teaching centre for the European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry (ECMI). Indeed, by choosing the appropriate courses it is possible to get the “ECMI Certificate” upon graduation. It is also possible to have an Internship at important national and international Banks and Insurance Companies, as well as in Research laboratories and Schools. These aspects of the Degree give graduates a competitive edge for their future careers, be it in the Job Market, or for a continuing Academic career.
