    The programme provides a challenging training in the key areas of management and business administration in global contexts, with a focus on human resource management. Students learn how to integrate knowledge in general management and human resource management into the context of industry and economy-wide issues. The programme provides specialist HR expertise, as well as broader business and interpersonal skills. The teaching approach is interactive and combines several teaching methods, including group project works, case studies, role-plays, business games and simulations.
    Students have the opportunity to participate into the dual degree program in the framework of the agreement between University of L’Aquila (IT) and University of Twente (NL) and be awarded of the 2nd cycle Degree in Business Administration, Economics and Finance, major in Management, from the University of L’Aquila and of the Master of Science in Business Administration, major in Human Resource Management, from the University of Twente.

    The 2nd Cycle Degree in Computer and Systems Engineering aims to prepare professionals with solid competences in the field of Information Engineering, able to understand and manage the requirements for innovation and contribute to it in the sectors of information processing systems and of automation systems. The specialised courses characterizing the two curricula: Information Tecnology and Control System Engineering, are designed to enable students to embrace real-world complexity as an opportunity for innovation, to be intuitive problem solvers, experienced engineering architects, and result leaders who will have a great impact at the challenging three-way intersection of computer science, engineering, and ethics. Due to the high-level mathematical operations required to run these programs, a solid background in mathematics, physics and engineering is an entrance requirement. Students have the opportunity to spend abroad study and training periods within the wide network of partner institutions.     The purpose of this 2nd Cycle Programme is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for an advanced-level professional career or for doctoral studies. This is done through course work in the foundational elements of the field and in several graduate specialized fields. Areas of specialization include advanced algorithms also for distributed systems, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, computer and network security, advanced software engineering, model driven development, formal methods, mobile and internet computing and theoretical computer science, that are organized in such a way to design two well identified curricula: Network and Data Science (NeDaS) and Software Engineering for Adaptive Systems (SEAS).
    The Programme offers three International specializing Tracks, providing four Dual Degrees:
    • Global Software Engineering European Master – GSEEM (in partnership with Malardalen University and VU University Amsterdam, resp.)
    • Ubiquitus Computing and Distributed Systems – UBIDIS (in partnership with University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis)

    The main objectives of the 2nd Degree in Environmental Biology and Management of Ecosystems are articulated in 2 CVs, addressed to provide the students of an adequate knowledge in order to 1) to carry out the analysis and the monitoring of environmental systems/processes from the perspective of sustainability and prevention of environmental quality; 2) to acquire skills and expertise in assessing biodiversity on the field by identifying the main biological components of freshwater and terrestrial environments; 3) to apply statistical methodologies for performing univariate and multivariate analyses in order to assess relationships between environmental (physico-chemical features) and biological (fauna and flora) data sets; 3) to translate data in a geographic mapping by GIS; 4) to use biological and environmental data in EIAs procedures (Environmental Impact Assessment) coupling the environmental background knowledge with the EU and national policies. The course is designed to provide to the students an adequate knowledge of general scientific methods and the acquisition of specific professional knowledge to operate on the different fields of the environmental context.

    In the last decade the economic, scientific and technological context is completely changed and its continuous rapid evolution needs professionals able to cope and manage more and more complex problems through an integrated and multidisciplinary approach.
    This 2nd cycle degree addresses this challenge and aims to provide graduates with a multidisciplinary profile and a solid theoretical/methodological preparation in mathematical models and scientific calculus.
    Mathematical modelling lies at the heart of most current technological innovations and has become a fundamental tool in many fields of engineering. Essentially multidisciplinary in its applications, mathematical modelling and simulation is in its own right a key technology which is bound to increase its presence within efficient industries and business innovation departments. The proposed programme reflects this multidisciplinarity, drawing on the unifying mathematical aspects from the various and often separate engineering disciplines. This allows the development of an essentially unified methodological approach to modelling and simulation of real engineering challenges.
    Students can benefit of international experiences in the framework of several agreements aimed to award multiple degrees.

    The course is the principal educational program to get the expertise for characterization, design and management of ICT infrastructure (pervasive ICT infrastructures) to support modern and emerging networked applications. It offers the opportunity to participate in international programs to obtain a double degree, e.g. with several French universities and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. English is the official language for lectures and other activities.
    The course of study is aimed at providing knowledge and design methods in the following main areas:
    i) network technologies and the Internet,
    ii) systems for wireless access, mobile communications and interconnection,
    iii) optical technologies and broadband systems,
    iv) digital and embedded systems
    v) remote sensing and Earth observation,
    vi) antennas and microwave,
    vii) multimedia systems.
    A path of excellence in Cyber-Physical Systems is proposed to a set of selected students and yields an international certification; moreover, special paths approved by CISCO and Juniper are provided in the area of network technologies.
    There are dedicated and large scale laboratories with relevant experimental equipment, as well as training-on-the-job opportunities with a large number of companies; agreements with major technical european universities are available for international mobility Erasmus+.
