may 21, 2017

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (General Directorate for the Promotion of the Country System), in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Italian Polygraphic Institute has realized the IL PORTALE DELLA LINGUA ITALIANA (PORTAL OF THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE), which collects Italian language study information in a complete and easy-to-access system.

To selecting the main documents, articles and studies on the teaching of the Italian language contribute all the Scientific Societies in the linguistic field: AItLA (Italian Association of Applied Linguistics); ASLI (Association for the History of Italian Language); DILLE (Educational Language and Educational Language Society); SIG (Italian Society of Glottology); SLI (Italian Linguistics Society); SIFR (Italian Society of Romanesque Philology).

Those who want to study Italian will find in the portal information, addresses, news and useful insights from the galaxy of subjects active in the promotion of Italian in the world (MIBACT, MIUR, Academy of Crusca, Company Dante Alighieri, Institute of the Italian Encyclopedia Treccani, Lincei National Academy, Perugia University, University of Siena, University of Rome Tre, CLIQ Association).

The Italian Language Portal is part of the projects launched by the Stati Generali della Lingua Italiana, whose purpose is to identify and implement new strategies for the promotion of Italian language and culture.

Uni-Italy participates in the activities of Stati Generali since their beginning in 2014, with studies and proposals on the promotion of the study of Italian language and Italian education system.
