Uni-Italia Association new statue

Today, March 15, at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Uni-Italia’s extraordinary Assembly approved an important modification of the statue of the Association which main aim is to promote the Italian higher education system in the world as it has been doing for the last ten years.
Italian Trade Agency (ITA) and the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI) made their entrance in the Uni-Italia’s Board of Directors, along with the reconfirmed and active participation of the three founding Ministries: Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ministry of University and Research and Ministry of the Interior. The new Board of Directors, chaired by Prof. Francesco Profumo, is composed by the Min. Plen. Alessandro De Pedys (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – MAECI), by Dr. Gianluigi Consoli (Ministry of University and Research – MUR), by the Prefect Paolo Formicola (Ministry of Interior), by Dr. Carlo Ferro (ITA), by Prof. Maurizio Tira (CRUI) and by Dr. Barbara Beltrame Giacomello (appointed by the shareholders). Dr. Alberto Ortolani has been confirmed as Secretary General, a role in which he will be joined by the newly appointed vice Deputy Secretary General, Annalisa Di Calisto.
“With the new statute” - stated the President Profumo - “Uni-Italia sees itself recognized also on the institutional level with a position, already demonstrated by facts, of referenced structure in the field of academic promotion. The consolidation of the governance and the international stature of the Association confirm the motivation of the Italian System to invest more and more systematically in the improvement of our higher education system abroad ".
